Cycle Studio
Our cycling studio is state-of-the-art, our sound system is specially designed to ensure optimum clarity and we use original music and vibrant, energetic, exceptional playlists that ensure you leave any stress or distractions outside and lose yourself in the ride each and every time! Sycle Hub is all about ensuring an extraordinary experience each and every ride, so all the little extras that make Sycle Hub unique and premier are included. The shoes, the SUUNTO HR monitor, the lockers, the towels, the fresh fruit, the filtered cold water, the fully equipped bathroom toiletries/deodorant and so much more is all included in your ride cost! We even send you an individual ride report - in your email before you even hit the lockers!We focus on professional cycle technique so you'll be challenged, you'll consistently improve, you'll increase strength, endurance, speed and you'll burn body fat! We were the first studio in the world to recognise and include core strengthening and glute activation exercises pre and post ride - very important to cyclists and helps increase athletic performance, reduce risk of injuries, transfer power more efficiently from your body to the bike and helps protect the lower back from injury.
Fitness Studio
Sycle Hub is so much more than an indoor cycling studio. We love the benefits of cycling but we recognise that building strength and using weights gives you the ultimate results to enable a full body workout. A fully equipped fitness studio means Sycle Hub can offers Circuit/strength classes, personal training and a diversified range of programmes tailoring strength training to help you conquer an upcoming event, weight loss, strength, endurance goals, and even athlete training. The sky is the limit. If you would just like to supplement your class with your own training regimen we offer memberships that include open gym visits at anytime of the day or a Sycle Hub credit can simply be used for a casual visit.Home of Sycle Hub Team

Our team is made up of world class cycle coaches and accomplished athletes - Head Performance coach Emir is an Olympian/World Ironman. We offer performance focused training to help you optimise capacity for your cycling event, as well as year round to say training to assists you with developing and improving your fitness, strength or even conditioning for various fitness goals. Improve your endurance, strength and speed to perform in competitively or racing conditions at your best.
Our Head Performance Coach Emir is accredited by Triathlon Australia as a recognised Practicing Performance Coach.
Sycle Hub holds weekly performance classes target drills, power, aerobic fitness, endurance, VO/threshold/lactic tolerance rides and muscular endurance. Weekly V02 Max ride and 90 minute plus endurance rides. Individual ride reports outlining performance statistics are emailed to each rider post ride. If you are a coach of a sporting team you can even receive your teams results via a coaches report.
Planning on training for an endurance cycling event or compete in a triathlon, marathon, duathlon or mountain bike event? Gain the edge on your competition or simply train towards a personal best performance or bucket list achievement. Sycle Hub team incorporates a comprehensive performance training program for cyclists, runners, & triathletes that includes coaching in cycling, running, swimming and strength/conditioning in our brand new fitness studio.
Participate in our pool swim squad sessions combined with some open water swimming practice guaranteed to improve your technique and efficiency. We have three swim squad session a week.
Ride/Run Transition Sessions
Boost your triathlon specific fitness with Sycle Hub Ride/Run transition sessions. They are a great opportunity to focus on transition skills and proficiency between disciplines.
Build your confidence, bike handling skills, awareness and cycling etiquette whilst riding outdoors on a weekly Sycle Hub bunch ride. These rides are generally aerobic conditioning intensity.
Sycle Hub holds a weekly track session in the Hills area that is structured around helping you develop and improve speed/endurance, run strength, and distance running to increase your aerobic threshold and efficiency. Drills, technique, strength all the key elements to becoming a better runner. Our sessions include training for specific triathlon races, we also coach programs around various running festivals and fun runs.
Sycle Hub Yoga
- Sycle Hub Yoga program is cycling specific designed to improve overall strength, flexibility, balance and alignment as well as counteract general issues and contraindications found in cycling as a sport.
- Our program is divided into four sessions which are rotated monthly.
Heart friendly
- Indoor cycling helps you burn a lot of calories, making it ideal for a healthy heart. and reduces the risks of cardiovascular diseases.
- The accompanying increase in your metabolic rate and muscle tone will, in the long term, bolster the intensity of caloric burn.
- You will benefit by working your upper thigh muscles, backside, and calf muscles, burning calories, and conditioning your cardiovascular system
Rehabilitation & recovery
Lower risk of injury - perfect for aged riders & pre/post natal women
- Because you are riding on a flat surface rather than an uneven terrain, there is lesser risk of strain or bodily injury.
- Indoor cycling has none of the joint shock from continuous impact with the ground that occurs with some other aerobic activities.
- Indoor cycling at SYCLE HUB causes less wear and tear on the joints and muscles and yet still delivers a good cardiovascular workout making it a good option for older people or people with joint problems.
Mental health
- Research has repeatedly married a link between aerobic exercise and improved mental health.
- The positive oxygenation to the brain during exercise releases naturally occurring endorphins that have been shown to significantly reduce stress levels and depression.
1. Punctuality
Every ride is an experience and starts on time, every time! If you're late and the doors are closed, you can't join the class. Arrive early if you need your bike fit set up / checked.2. Phones off and out
No phones on in the studio! If you are a Dr or are on call, please leave your phone with the front desk and we can get you if there is an emergency.3. Shhh please
Talking during class is a major distraction for your fellow riders, however yahooing and positive grunts when the moment takes you is encouraged!4. It's sexy to sweat
You'll be close to each other riding in the Sycle Hub - gives a great vibe and you're going to sweat!Please consider others and remove your sweat and clean your bike using wipes not towels after the ride.
5. Be a 5 STAR rider
No pedaling backwards. No ear phones. No riding hands free and please, don't cheat on yourself! Ensure you use appropriate resistance as guided by your coach.6. Inclusion. Support. Community.

Performance Metrics
SYCLE HUB is the first indoor cycling studio in Australia and New Zealand to partner with iQniter Cardio Training - Powered by Suunto.
SYCLE HUB proudly uses the iQniter Cardio Training System to maximise the performance of every class within our schedule and that feeds our Burn Board.Once you are wearing the SUUNTO Dual Monitor you will see your name (or nickname) displayed on the Burn Board, visible on screens throughout the studio.
The Burn Board keeps your ride on track by measuring your Heart Rate (% and BPM), Power output, Cycling Cadence, Energy Consumption (K/Cal burnt) and Training Effect. We call it the great equalizer because it doesn't matter what your level of fitness is, the ride is about keeping you pedaling within the required heart rate zone and the Burn Board helps our coaches to do that.
Our bikes
We use internationally renowned, top-of-the-line Spinner@ Blade. The Spinner@ Blade combines user-focused features with a high degree of adjustibility to deliver best-in-class performance for riders of all shapes, sizes and abilities.POWER! Sycle Hub uses STAGES SC3 Indoor Power bikes with power meter technology to accurately measure rider power output. Sycle Hub is the first centre in Australia to receive and use the STAGES SC3 Power bikes. These bikes use the globally renowned STAGES POWER CRANK and are used by Team Sky in their training and now, you too can use them. NB: Numbers limited to 10 so advance booking required.
Functional Threshold Power (FTP) Testing
SYCLE HUB has a FTP testing facility to further enhance your training and performance. Purchase test online, individual testing by appointment only.At SYCLE HUB we understand it can be intimidating starting something or somewhere new, so we've tried to answer questions you may have below. If there's anything else, please just ask one of our SYCLE HUB team as we are committed to ensuring you have an extraordinary experience each and every ride!

Not a lot! SYCLE HUB is Sydney’s premier indoor cycle studio and was named one of the best spin/cycle studios in the world for a reason!
Remember to pack a sweat towel and if you want to enjoy our fully equipped washrooms after the ride, bring your towel. No need to bring anything else - the shower products, deodorant, moisturisers, body creams and other luxe potions and lotions are already there for you!
Bring a water bottle, or you can buy one at Sycle Hub and use our filtered or infused water. Keep drinking during and after our class, indoor cycling is a thirsty business and you are going to sweat!
We provide complimentary fruit and infused water.
What to wear.
- You should wear comfortable workout clothing – no loose pants around the ankles. Padded cycling shorts are great!
- Don’t wear pants that are loose around the ankles – they could get caught in the bike and you don’t want to end up with your pants around the pedal and you red-faced!
SYCLE HUB strongly recommends wearing cycling shoes during our rides. These are special shoes which click into your pedals and enhance the cycling experience. When using these shoes you generate more powerful pedal strokes and target the correct muscle groups to give your legs a fuller workout. They also provide a more stable, safer ride.
Professional cycling shoes are included with all rides at Sycle Hub, subject to availability. NB: Busy rides it is possible we will run out of your shoe size, booking in advance and making sure your profile notes your shoe size will reduce this risk.
If you have your own cycling shoes, our pedals accept a LOOK DELTA, SPD or SPD DL cleat and you are welcome and encouraged to train in your own shoes.
At Sycle Hub we know some of our riders have bikes worth more than the average car - so we have a number of TACX Bushido Trainers with Power output (via smartphone app) that you can use.
Bookings are essential because we have a strictly limited number available and they are only available for our Performance and Performance Plus classes. 24-hrs notice required.
We love music at Sycle Hub!. We use original music where a lot of fitness venues don’t – there is no comparison!
Our coaches each have their own style and pick tracks that suit their taste, the vibe they are trying to achieve and the class goals. We also spend a lot of time finding great, unexpected cycling tracks for our coaches. Together, we create amazing playlists for you, guaranteed to help get you in to the groove and dig deep every ride!
The Burn Board is part of our iQniter Cardio Training system and is displayed on plasma screen throughout the studio.
The Burn Board keeps your ride on track by measuring your Heart Rate (% and BPM); Energy Consumption (K/Cal burnt)* and Training Effect. We call it the great equaliser because whatever your level of fitness is, the ride is about keeping you pedaling within the required heart rate zone and the Burn Board helps our coaches do that. It makes things easy – if you aren’t in the right heart rate zone, you need to add or reduce your resistance – our coaches will help you with that!
*New riders will receive calorie burn and ride report for intro rides. After that, k/cal burn and ride report is available to those who have their own Sycle Hub purchased SUUNTO Dual monitor - sold at cost price of $90
NB: If you are a new rider to Sycle Hub , we ask that you arrive 15-mins before your first class to ensure adequate time to prep and have your bike set up. If you arrive late, we will only be able to conduct a quick set-up to ensure the start of the class is not disrupted.
We have 40 lockers in various sizes allowing you to comfortably hang a suit or securely lock up a handbag or mobile phone.
Cycling involves thousands of repetitions at a relatively low resistance. This should make your legs slim and sculpted and rather yummy! Lifts and tones the butt too!
And ladies, rest easy. Women just are not built to get bulky legs - not enough testosterone, so relax, it's a myth!
As a dedicated indoor cycle studio committed to providing a premier experience, if you're late, regrettably you will miss out. You need to be at Sycle Hub at least 10-15 minutes before the class to ensure you are ready and present on the Burn Board to participate when we start.
Broken neck – ah, no!
A sore back or sprained leg may seem ok, but if you're unsure then please check with your physio or other medical expert first and let your instructor know! If you are returning from surgery, you will require authorisation from your medical practitioner as per our terms and conditions.
If you're in the early stage of pregnancy please tell your coach who will guide you on the heart rate zone to stay within and Sycle Hub will then note this in our system and set up your HR accordingly to ensure our Burn Board keeps you and your baby safely within Dr's advice!
However, we have a great hang out space with colouring books and pencils; and a plasma tv. If your child is old enough to amuse themselves with limited supervision, they are very welcome in our mid-morning, lunch and early evening classes - the early morning and late evening classes, sorry no!
If you are 12-17 years you can ride with parental/guardians permission.
Minimum height requirement is 143cm. Maximum weight is 150kg.
Riders under 14 are not able to ride our Stages SC3 power bikes or TACX Bushido trainers unless they are experienced cyclists.
